KUNDALINI YOGA
"When you understand who and what you are, your radiance projects into the universal radiance and everything around you becomes creative and full of opportunity"
Yogi Bhajan
What is Kundalini Yoga?
The true meaning of "Kundalini" is "the coil of the hair of the beloved". This coil, often depicted as the serpent, symbolises the latent energy residing within each one of us, our hidden potential. Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is an ancient technology of transformation which, when practised regularly, activates the uncoiling of this inner potential, conferring us with one pointed mindfulness and connecting us to the infinite.
In these pressing times of strange viruses, high stress and fatigue related illnesses, a potent, practical technology is needed to address these epidemics in a new way, one which helps us to excel under such pressure. Kundalini Yoga is just such a technology. It gives us stamina under stress, strengthens the immune system, releases the build up of stress energy from the body, revitalises weary organs, and increases much needed oxygen intake. Not only does Kundalini Yoga confer these physical benefits, but it is even more invaluable in strengthening the psyche, giving us the "inner grit" we need to get us through such potentially difficult times.
Kundalini Yoga is suitable for absolute beginners, but will also be of value to practitioners of other forms of Yoga, as well as those in many other varied fields - such as teachers, health care professionals, businesspeople, performers, artists - who embrace fitness and health in an integrated way for mind, body and soul.
