"A friend recommended the Alexander Technique (AT) to me as a potential way to help my speech in presentations and interviews. With Paula's expert guidance I learnt some key AT principles. Like breaking any bad habit, awareness is key, and I found these principles really could help me to reduce my slight stammer if I consciously reminded myself of them and how relieving and energising the effects are. Recently I had a job interview and as part of my preparation for it I was mindful of the deep-breathing and aligned posture I had been taught in AT classes. This really helped to reduce my nerves and reminded me to sit well and to keep an eye on my breathing and speech during the interview."
